"Imagine this: your classroom is full of students, and they’re all participating in learning. They’re equal parts entertained and engaged, and they’re loving it. You’ve put together a whole unit plan full of engaging, captivating lessons that are easy to compose and beautiful to view. You’re using infographics in education."

Picto-learning!

Producing a learning activity that will yield in higher levels of rentention and engagement is always a goal of high school financial literacy teachers. Gone are the days that such outcomes require hours of after school hours to prep and plan for. Using infographics as a classroom learning tool, both on the side of the teacher and the learner, are proven to be effecting, engaging and entertaining. Creating a visual representation of material learned solidifies the content and commits it to full memory.

I have heard teachers say that teaching is an exhausting professions because students like to be entertained as they learn. INFOGRAPHICS are the solution!

Visual literacy is a needed skill! Students no longer only need to read and write! They need to be able to capture and express ideas in various ways, as well as be able to communicate with others and infer meaning. Inquiry driven learning is a way for students to conduct and compile research. When coupled with the use of creating infographics, they are better able to demonstrate and reflect the higher level thinking and questioning process they go through during their research.
